Open letter by Anatoli Yunitski to the President of the Republic of Belarus A. Lukashenko

Open letter                                                                                                                  To: President of the Republic of Belarus

23 May 2019                                                                                                                                        Alexander Lukashenko

Highly esteemed Mr. Alexander Lukashenko!

The paradox of the situation in which a potentially most science-intensive, export-oriented and most profitable industry in the country headed by you is compelling me to address you through an open letter. Unfortunately, there are no other ways to be heard, because I have a steady understanding that information is relayed to you in a distorted form or is not relayed at all, since all my appeals to the appropriate authorities have not brought any result. I made the final decision to write this message after your words expressed at a recent meeting of the Security Council of Belarus about the build-up of ravages for society, manipulation of the public consciousness, spreading of false information, “It is from them that the social cataclysms of today’s world begin. As a result, millions of people suffer, the political map of the world is changing. The generally accepted norms of morality and ethics are being relegated to the background. The vital activity of any state is becoming increasingly vulnerable to computer incidents.”

My name is Anatoli Yunitski. I am the founder of the international SkyWay Group of Companies, an engineer, author and General designer of breakthrough string technology. The innovation is deployed on 36 hectares in SkyWay transport and infrastructure complexes at EcoTechnoPark located near the town of Maryina Gorka, on a former tank range permeated with the smell of gunpowder and impregnated with diesel fuel, where only wild grass grew three years ago. And now there are gardens with more than ten thousand trees there.

The solutions incorporated into the basis of string systems have a global transformative potential aimed at forming the foundation for a safe and harmonious development of civilization for a long term. We are ahead of the world by at least 10 years, professionals from all over the world come to us to learn, and those from Japan visited us to get engineering inspiration.

We have already built five string-rail transport overpasses of various types with a total length of about 4 km. Eleven fundamentally different models of rail electric vehicles are designed and manufactured. They are most complex carriages that have no world analogues. Four of them have already been certified. We have created a prototype of the world’s largest cargo drone, designed and set up production of a whole range of electric motor-wheels for SkyWay technology needs, developed intelligent systems of safety and rolling stock control, as well as perimeter security.

Everything we do is filled with humanism. About 130,000,000 people in the world are wheelchair users, for whom the possibility of getting jobs depends on mobility. Especially for them, on our own initiative and for our funds, we have created a unique social electric car, with which they can become, for example, taxi drivers or pizza deliverymen. This is the first car in the world, into which a driver can get in an electric wheelchair also developed by us. He can drive a car sitting in the wheelchair. We showed this development with great success at a specialized exhibition in Moscow in September 2018 attracting maximum attention not only to it, but also to the problem of mobility facing people with disabilities.

Our Belarusian company has designed and manufactured a six-seat high-speed (up to 500 km/h) family-type rail electric vehicle. Its triumphal premiere was held in Berlin at the major International transport exhibition InnoTrans 2018.

Formed by foreign investments and registered authorized capital of SkyWay Technologies Co., our engineering company, is about 50,000,000 US dollars - about the same as such a giant as the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant has. Being one of the major taxpayers in the Pukhavichy district, our company is its budget-forming enterprise.

In the Republic of Belarus, we have created a hi-tech production facility equipped with the most sophisticated equipment, and we continue to expand these facilities. Their total area will soon exceed 10,000 m2. More than 800 highly skilled jobs were created in the Republic to complete the complex of works on creating the first samples of SkyWay string transportation systems and bringing the technology to the world market. And we did not ask Belarus for a single penny of budget funds for this: our activities are funded according to the modern crowdinvesting model - crowdfunding. We are supported by about 500,000 investors from more than 200 countries. In total, more than 10,000 of them have already gathered three times at SkyWay EcoTechnoPark near Maryina Gorka at EcoFest - one of the biggest events in the Republic in the field of innovations and high technologies.

Despite all this, the yellow press of the country, including the most popular Internet resources “tut.by” and “onliner”, declared against us, without any justification, an informational war, which has been lasting for about four years now (see the attachment). This causes serious damage not only to our organization, but to the whole of Belarus. More eloquent are the comments under their negative articles, soaked with spiteful remarks to everything Belarusian, as well as to me personally, “Why hasn’t this drunkard with a blue muzzle been jailed or expelled from the country yet? Why don’t the KGB and the President take measures? Why do law enforcement agencies stay inactive?” We have been suing these media for years and, despite the fact that the law of our country criminalizes such acts, the Belarusian courts take their side. According to the judge, journalists do not insult anyone and have the right to their own point of view, even if it does not comply with reality.

Such publications cannot be left without attention, because, as a result:

1) Amazingly, but their amateur authors form a negative opinion about the technology and the development team among some “professionals”. Even the former Transport Minister of our country acknowledged it in an interview with me.

2) One of the leaders of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, who had reviewed the technology at an International exhibition and left an enthusiastic comment in the Book of Distinguished Visitors, called me after one of such negative articles and asked me to tear that page out of the Book. Subsequently, the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences have rejected twice our application for obtaining the status of “Scientific Organization”, although we have more science than some of the research institutes that are part of it. In particular, it can be testified by the scientific monograph “String transport systems: on Earth and in Space” published by us this year in Russian and English languages.

3) We were forced to leave the Mogilev Free Economic Zone (FEZ) after the very first negative publication appeared on tut.by with the catchy headline “Mogilev FEZ has registered a resident driven out from Lithuania”. The reaction of local authorities to this publication was very harsh and predictable.

4) We have not been able to get a strip of land for a 21-km high-speed test track for two years, although we have collected all the 16 required approvals. The reasons for the refusal were not serious, something like this, “Your arguments that SkyWay is needed for Belarus are not convincing - a lot of valuable tree species will be cut down across the marsh where the route would pass, and we feel pity about the birds: a lot of them will die due to the high-speed unibus.”

5) Many Belarusian professionals are cautious about being employed in our company, as they consider us swindlers and hustlers, who will soon be “closed” and Yunitski will be put to prison - referring again to tut.by and onliner. Therefore, now we have to recruit Russian-speaking foreign experts from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Moldova.

And this is still not a complete list of our problems in Belarus, consciously created by the Belarusian yellow press.

It is known - if the mountain won’t come to Mohammed, Mohammed must go to the mountain, and I began to look for an opportunity to build a high-speed test complex in other countries. As a result, I received support from the Government of the United Arab Emirates, which has already confirmed the words with deeds: we have been allocated land with a total area of over 200 hectares for two SkyWay technology platforms. One is a 2.5-km long track for urban and cargo complexes including transportation of sea containers weighing up to 35 tons, where we plan to get 150 km/h speed. The second route is 25-km long, where we plan to achieve 600 km/h speed with a subsequent increase in the length of the route up to 60 km, where we will build the Hyper-U forevacuum tube and obtain the speed of 1250 km/h.

The land in the UAE is allocated to us practically free of charge, although its market value is above 1,000,000,000 US dollars. Such an investment is worth a lot - it means that our partner is the government of this most innovative country in the world, which wants to become a world center for the development and promotion of our breakthrough transport and infrastructure technology created by Belarusians, so that String Valley, an analogue of Silicon Valley in the United States, was built right there. This will be the site to test not only all string transport technologies, but also related infrastructural solutions: linear cities, new “green” power generation, relict fertile soil, vacuum glass and much more that our company is working on. Besides, we are additionally creating a fundamentally new technological platform based on blockchain. This work is carried out jointly with partners from the UAE, as here blockchain is supported and developed at the national level, including that for use in transportation.

We are also currently working on a program for transferring the environmentally dangerous part of the earth’s industry into space using astro-engineering technologies that I proposed about 40 years ago. As a member of the USSR Cosmonautics Federation, I organized the first in the world International scientific and practical conference on the problems of non-rocket space industrialization of space in my homeland, in the city of Gomel, back in 1988. This year I plan to hold the second International conference on this subject in Belarus.

It would seem that SkyWay project is doing well (at least abroad) but I, Belarusian, feel pain and sorrow for our country, where the young part of the population is clearly duped with something very similar to neuro-linguistic programming - a trend in practical psychology developed in the University of California. This is a set of beliefs not necessarily provable, on the basis of which people perform subsequent actions. The most important effect here is the uncritical perception of the main postulate by the interlocutor. The critical attention of a person is drawn to the main element of the appeal, while the rest remains beyond the limits of critical perception.

For example, a slanderous statement about me from the publication by onliner: “And for some reason there is a persistent feeling that the Belarusian inventor will continue to work according to the scheme “I build – they take it away - I run away – I build again” as long as it brings some money.” It draws attention to the alleged dishonesty and incompetence of the inventor, however the main message itself - that this is common to everything Belarusian - remains outside the framework of critical perception. There is an obvious danger of such a fooling and anti-Belarusian zombieing of immature minds of the youth, which makes up the majority of readers of such opuses. And it is easy to understand what their subsequent actions may be. It is enough to read the comments under the publications in question, scornful of all domestic things and disbelief that anything worthy can be created in Belarus in principle.

I really want EcoTechnoPark in Maryina Gorka to continue developing and improving further despite the fact that I have adjusted the vector for SkyWay future development due to the aforementioned circumstances. I intend to continue providing highly-paid jobs and experience in creating innovative technology to Belarusian technical professionals. I am doing everything in my power to ensure that Belarus does not stay at the shameful 86th place in the global innovation index next to the Dominican Republic. I dream of my Motherland going down in history as the country that created the transport of the future with all the dividends due to it in this case.

However, what has Belarus obtained from negative publications of these toxic media, seeing only dirt and swamp around themselves, except for redirecting a substantial part of foreign investment flow abroad? Our country has already lost dozens of millions of dollars in foreign investment because of this. And in the future it will lose billions. Who benefits, who is behind all this? And why the perpetrators of what is happening do not bear any responsibility? The purpose of this appeal is to find the initiator of the above-mentioned fake “news” inflicting enormous damage to both my homeland and the cause of my whole life.

I am confident that all of the above has been possible also due to the lack of information or the distortion of the information brought to you. As a result, your opinion on SkyWay project has not been expressed up to now.

I invite you, dear Mr. Alexander Lukashenko, to visit our engineering company, production facility and EcoTechnoPark to make up your own opinion about the technology that can ensure not only the prosperity of our native Belarus, but also create conditions for harmonious development of the entire civilization on Earth for centuries to come. The more so since you supported the innovative technology “Yunitski String Transport” back in 1997. Despite the fact that your instructions were never carried out by the officials, you would be able to see how much has been done over these years with the help of our investors from around the world, without any real support to the project from outside.

I am not against the freedom of speech, I am against the freedom of lies and slander.

With deep respect,

Engineer A. Yunitski
